These are a few FAQs raised during development, ahead of the Beta release for testers.
What can I use the ArchitectBuddies app for?
There are a number of great use cases for ArchitectBuddies:
1) Rapid development of models, increasing the speed of iterative design and validation activities with stakeholders
2) Automation of repetitive tasks, such as adding meaningful brief descriptions to all elements
3) Generation of compliance and completeness reports for existing or new models
4) Modelling language learning aid
5) Importing and exporting models to and from formal enterprise tools
6) Rapid exploration of design options (a scratch pad)
Is ArchitectBuddies an "Archimate(R) Certified tool?
No. ArchitectBuddies is not “certified” on the ArchiMate® Tool Certification Register. However, ArchitectBuddies is aimed for use by professional Enterprise Architects, organisations, students and trainers. As such, it aims to fulfil all conformance requirements of the Archimate® Exchange Format.
Can I use ArchitectBuddies for commercial purposes?
Yes. However, the Archimate® language is licensed by The Open Group and your use of the Archimate® language is governed by their licenses. Please see The Open Group for its licensing requirements: TOG Licensing

What is Beta release testing?
Beta release testing of ArchitectBuddies is the stage where the app is shared with a limited group of real users outside the development team. These users test the app in real-world conditions to identify bugs, usability issues, or performance problems that developers might have missed. Feedback from this phase helps improve the app before its official release on the App Store.
How much will ArchitectBuddies cost?
We are still working on a model that can enable a small developer team maintain and add to features of this great app. iOS is continually undergoing exciting changes, as is the development of Artificial Intelligence language models and agents. We hope to bring this to you at minimal cost, respecting any licensing requirements. Current expectations:
The main modelling tool will be available for free.
Premium workflow automation (AI) features will be available as an in-App purchase.
